Job summary

The Village Early Learning Centre Auckland is looking for a confident and nurturing centre Manager to lead the thriving centre and support educational, professional and operational success.

You will oversee professional growth cycles, mentor teachers, and guide improvement through evaluative practices, while managing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance and high standards of care and education for tamariki and whānau.

Qualifications

• Has at least two years of experience as Centre Manager in a New Zealand early childhood centre and holding NZ teacher registration.
• Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki, curriculum leadership and ECE regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading professional growth cycles and mentoring teachers.
• Confident using evaluative practices, internal evaluation and reflective inquiry to guide improvement.
• Builds respectful and collaborative relationships with children, whānau, kaiako and the wider community.

At The Village Early Learning Centre- Blockhouse Bay, we believe it takes a village to raise a child. We are seeking a confident and nurturing centre Manager to lead our thriving centre and support its educational, professional and operational success.

About the role

You will lead professional growth cycles, mentoring and reflective practice; support teachers to set meaningful development goals; and use evaluative practices to strengthen teaching and learning. You will also encourage thoughtful inquiry and lead positive change that improves outcomes for tamariki.

Alongside this, you will oversee the centre’s day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance, strong relationships and consistently high standards of care and education.

We would love someone who:

• Has at least two years of experience as Centre Manager in a New Zealand early childhood centre and holding NZ teacher registration
