Fergbutcher in Arrowtown is seeking a Head Chef to lead the food truck kitchen with a hands-on, bustling team of 8.

You will set kitchen standards, mentor staff, manage rosters, oversee food safety and health policies, and drive consistent quality across all offerings.

Qualifications

• 2 years relevant experience in leading and managing kitchen teams.
• Available to work full-time on a 40-45 hour roster per week (minimum 30 hours).
• Reliable transport as Fergbutcher is based in Arrowtown.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the operations and organisation of the food truck kitchen.
• Mentor and provide hands on leadership to your team, establishing kitchen standards and best practice.
• Lead in maintaining food safety standards and procedures.
• Manage staff, rosters and be part of the recruitment process.
• Lead and adhere to Health and Safety policies and standards.
• Ensure all team members are briefed on Ferg's food standards, policies and procedures.
• Training and upskilling your team.
