Job summary

Rocket Lab in Auckland seeks an Integrated Operations Engineer II to join the Launch Operations team at our Auckland Production Complex. You will lead mission operations for Electron vehicles, manage real-time monitoring, and support multi-site launches with engineers and technicians in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring an engineering degree (Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronic) and 3+ years in design/test/operations, plus hands-on experience with avionics, RF, and

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree with 3+ years in design, test, or operations
  • Launch vehicle or spacecraft experience including integration, testing, launch, or mission operations
  • Programming skills in Java, Python, or similar object-oriented languages
  • Software development with HTML/XML web-based tools
  • Networking knowledge: TCP/IP, UDP, multicast protocols, routing
  • Self-motivated with positive mindset
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in dynamic environments

Responsibilities

  • Execute testing and launch operations for Electron vehicles
  • Configure and operate electrical systems, avionics, RF, and C2 systems
  • Drive continuous improvement to checkout procedures and launch cadence
  • Perform real-time troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Develop proficiency across operational roles and train others
  • Conduct post-test and post-flight data analysis
  • Support design, development and operation of test facilities and launch pads
