Job summary

Rocket Lab Corp. seeks an Integrated Operations Engineer I/II – Team X in Auckland to support testing, pre-launch and launch operations for Electron and related subsystems. The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical systems and real-time problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

You will develop plans, coordinate procedures, and work across teams to ensure safe, efficient mission execution. Domestic and international travel are expected as part of this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in engineering design, test, and/or operations.
  • Experience with mechanical systems such as structures, propulsion, hydraulics, or HVAC.
  • Ability to maintain situational awareness during complex operations.
  • Demonstrated precision, detail-orientation, and ability to work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for and conduct testing, pre-launch operations, and launch operations.
  • Define test and operations requirements.
  • Develop, coordinate, and execute plans and procedures to conduct testing, operations, and flight safely.
  • Conduct test and operations on-console with real-time communications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve test and operations issues in real-time.
  • Perform failure investigations and root cause analyses to prevent recurrence.
  • Perform post-test and post-flight data review and analyses.
  • Continually improve and streamline integration, testing, and operations.
  • Domestic and international travel will be required.
