Job summary

Ara Poutama Aotearoa is seeking an L&D Facilitator to support regional frontline managers by building and growing the capability of their teams across sites. You will advise on learning tools, assess training needs and ensure onboarding is properly supported at each site.

You will also maintain awareness of centrally delivered training, identify regional needs and deliver learning options and resources. Build strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders through a solution-focused approach.

Qualifications

  • Experience with L&D frameworks and NZQA qualifications.
  • Experience in adult learning/training environments and assessing training needs.
  • Ability to identify learning styles and gaps.
  • Knowledge of frontline skills development pathway concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate others to action.

About the role

The L & D Facilitator reports into the Principal Lead L&D and supports regional frontline managers in building and growing the capability of their team. In this role you will provide advice and guidance on the learning and development tools and solutions available, provide assessment of current capability levels and training needs and ensure that key processes, such as onboarding new staff, are properly supported, and managed at each site across the region.

We want to ensure our team at Ara Poutama have access to everything they need to be successful in their roles, this includes access to best practice learning and development opportunities. You will play a critical role in maintaining a detailed awareness and understanding of centrally delivered training as well as looking at regional needs and solutions.

Skills and experience
  • Understanding of various L&D frameworks and systems, NZQA and qualifications
  • Strong experience/understanding of an adult learning / training environment
  • Identifies and proactively manages learning styles and gaps
  • Knowledge or the ability to learn the frontline skills development pathway
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate others to action
  • Strong numeracy skills with the ability to interpret data
  • Excellent verbal written and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate complex concepts
  • Strong relationship skills are a must!

The mid-point of the salary range is $89,225 and the full range (85%-120%) is $75842 - $107070. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
