Kmart Aotearoa is looking for a Duty Manager to support store leaders across in-store processes, driving efficiency and operational excellence. You’ll help maintain presentation standards, ensure end-of-trade tasks are completed accurately and safely, and lead by example with a hands-on approach.

The role roster runs Tuesday to Saturday, 3:30pm–midnight, offering leadership development and clear career pathways across Kmart Group and Wesfarmers. Competitive pay and bonus potential are provided.

As a Duty Manager, you’ll support Kmart store leaders across key in-store processes, helping drive efficiency & operational excellence. Supporting management strong presentation standards across the store. Contributing to the successful closing of the store, ensuring all end-of-trade tasks are completed accurately and safely.

What you’ll be doing

Roster for this role is Tuesday to Saturday 3:30pm to midnight.

• Leadership & Motivation – Lead by example through a hands‑on approach, working alongside team members to provide support, foster collaboration, and motivate individuals to achieve shared goals and high performance.
• Strategic Thinking – Make timely decisions within scope, applying experience and judgement while seeking guidance from Department or Store Managers when needed.
• Relationship Building – Keep the team informed and aligned, fostering collaboration, valuing diverse perspectives, and recognising individual contributions.
• Operational Excellence – Consistently achieve set goals by maintaining focus, overcoming challenges, and seeing tasks through to completion.
