Job summary

Kmart Aotearoa in New Zealand is seeking a capable Duty Manager to lead store operations, inspire teams, and ensure exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

As a Duty Manager , you’ll support Kmart store leaders across key in-store processes, helping drive efficiency & operational excellence. Supporting management strong presentation standards across the store. Contributing to the successful closing of the store, ensuring all end-of-trade tasks are completed accurately and safely.

What you’ll be doing

• Leadership & Motivation - Lead by example through a hands-on approach, working alongside team members to provide support, foster collaboration, and motivate individuals to achieve shared goals and high performance.
• Strategic Thinking - Make timely decisions within scope, applying experience and judgement while seeking guidance from Department or Store Managers when needed.
• Relationship Building - Keep the team informed and aligned, fostering collaboration, valuing diverse perspectives, and recognising individual contributions.
• Operational Excellence - Consistently achieve set goals by maintaining focus, overcoming challenges, and seeing tasks through to completion.
