Job summary

Peppers Bluewater Resort in Lake Tekapo is seeking a Kitchen Hand to help maintain a spotless kitchen and support the cooking team. You will clean crockery, utensils, and surfaces, keep floors clean, and assist with basic food preparation to ensure smooth service for guests.

Flexibility for shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays is essential. Prior kitchen or cleaning experience is a plus, and a positive, can-do attitude helps you thrive in a diverse, fast-paced

Responsibilities

• Maintain impeccable hygiene while cleaning crockery, cutlery, glassware, and other kitchen equipment, using both commercial dishwashers and manual cleaning methods.
• Carry out rubbish removal, sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors.
• Disinfect and clean, ensuring the proper sequence of chemical usage.
• Provide valuable support to our kitchen team, including basic food preparation, grating, peeling, chopping, and preparing batters, garnishes, and seasonings.

Purpose

As a Kitchen Hand, your role is pivotal in maintaining the sparkle of our kitchen. Your main responsibilities involve upholding cleanliness, including dishware, utensils, and workspaces, all while strictly adhering to hygiene standards. You are an integral part of the kitchen brigade, collaborating seamlessly to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our valued guests.
