Job summary

Peppers Bluewater Resort in Lake Tekapo is seeking a Kitchen Hand to help maintain a spotless kitchen and support the cooking team. You will clean crockery, utensils, and surfaces, keep floors clean, and assist with basic food preparation to ensure smooth service for guests.

Flexibility for shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays is essential. Prior kitchen or cleaning experience is a plus, and a positive, can-do attitude helps you thrive in a diverse, fast-paced

Qualifications

• Practical experience in kitchen operations or cleaning is a plus.
• Enthusiastic can-do attitude with a positive and motivated demeanour.
• Thrives working within a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible availability to accommodate various shifts, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain impeccable hygiene while cleaning crockery, cutlery, glassware, and other kitchen equipment, using both commercial dishwashers and manual cleaning methods.
• Carry out rubbish removal, sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors.
• Disinfect and clean, ensuring the proper sequence of chemical usage.
• Provide valuable support to our kitchen team, including basic food preparation, grating, peeling, chopping, and preparing batters, garnishes, and seasonings.
