Job summary

PlaceMakers in Napier invites applications for a permanent full‑time position in our HBK design showroom and Trade Counter. You will maximise Heating, Bathroom and Kitchen sales, assisting Trade and Retail customers with product selection, knowledge, and stock tasks.

You will be the first point of contact on-site, interacting daily with customers and providing interior design solutions. The role includes in-store merchandising, order preparation and ensuring a winning customer experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing kitchens, bathrooms, laundry, flooring and wardrobes.
• Customer service and sales experience; clear, accurate communicator.
• Polite, professional, helpful when assisting customers.
• High standard of personal presentation and strong verbal/written communication.

Responsibilities

• Take briefs from clients and discuss kitchen/bathroom remodelling options.
• Discuss materials, themes, colours, room layout; produce sketches/drawings.
• Interact with customers via phone/email; provide product support and technical information.
• Drive value-add solutions for internal and external customers.
• Build relationships with Trade and Retail customers and ensure in-store experience.
• Support direct sales, pull orders for dispatch, and merchandise showroom aisles.
