Job summary

Bupa Crofton Downs Care Home in Wellington is seeking a Kitchen Assistant in a casual on-site role. You will help with food preparation, dishwashing, and general kitchen duties, working as part of a busy team to deliver meals to residents.

Applicants should have about 1 year experience in a similar role or be willing to training; you must be reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable following recipes and hygiene standards; weekend shifts and rotating rosters are required.

Qualifications

• Preferably 1 year experience in a similar role, but full training and development will be provided.
• Experience following established recipes and preparing food to a high standard.
• Proactive team player who can work independently and pitch in where needed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality presentation.
• Excellent time management & communication skills, following instruction accurately.
• Empathetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a positive difference for residents.
• Available to work rotating rostered shifts, including weekends.
• Reliable transport and travel arrangements.
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

Bupa Crofton DownsCare Home is a modern, purpose-built care home located in Crofton Downs, Wellington, overlooking the beautiful Trelissick Park. It offers both rest home and hospital-level care all in a modern and contemporary design.
