Job summary

Bupa Care Services NZ Limited in Wellington is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant to support daily kitchen operations in a modern care home. You will assist with food preparation, perform general kitchen duties, and work as part of a busy team to deliver high-quality meals for residents.

The role is casual with no guaranteed hours and requires reliable transport, flexibility for weekends, and a commitment to food safety and excellent presentation.

Qualifications

• Preferably 1 year experience in a similar role, but full training and development will be provided.
• Experience following established recipes and preparing food to a high standard.
• Proactive team player who can work independently and pitch in where needed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality presentation.
• Excellent time management & communication skills, following instruction accurately.
• Empathetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a positive difference for residents.

Bupa Crofton DownsCare Home is a modern, purpose-built care home located in Crofton Downs, Wellington, overlooking the beautiful Trelissick Park. It offers both rest home and hospital-level care all in a modern and contemporary design.

As a Kitchen Assistantyou will:

• Assist with food preparation
