Bupa Merrivale Care Home in Whangārei is seeking a motivated Cook to deliver high-quality meals for our aged care residents. You will plan menus, prepare meals, and assist with special event catering while maintaining strict hygiene standards.

The purpose of this job

Bupa Merrivale Care Home is located in Te Kamo, Whangārei, in a peaceful setting surrounded by landscaped gardens and close to Kamo Village. The home provides rest home and hospital-level care.

As a Cook, while adhering to food Hygiene and Safetyyou will make an impact on:

• Menu planning and implementation
• Food preparation
• Special event catering
• Ordering and monitoring supplies

What you’ll need to make it possible

• Qualified Cook/Chef with an NZQA-recognised culinary qualification (or equivalent) and at least 1 year of cooking experience
• Hands-on, proactive attitude with the flexibility to support all aspects of kitchen operations when needed
• Dedicated to delivering high-quality meals for our aged care residents
• Ensure resident confidentiality
• Reliable transport/ability to travel to and from the workplace consistently
• Applicants must be legally eligible to work in New Zealand.
