Job summary

Gallagher Security is seeking a Junior Test Analyst to help test our security software within a supportive, product-focused engineering team. You will design and execute test cases, identify defects, and learn automation under guidance from experienced testers in a global tech environment.

You’ll grow your skills across manual testing, defect reporting, and collaboration with developers, testers and product teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Some exposure to software testing, QA or software development.
• Interest in manual testing, test case design and defect reporting.
• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem solving.
• Clear communication skills and a willingness to learn from others.
• Exposure to SQL, databases, scripting or test automation would be an advantage.
• ISTQB Foundation certification is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Write and execute test cases based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Identify, investigate and document defects clearly so they can be reproduced and resolved.
• Support manual testing activities across new features, enhancements and fixes.
• Work closely with developers, testers and product teams to support quality outcomes.
• Build your understanding of testing processes, tools, automation and best practice.
• Contribute ideas that help improve how we test and deliver software.
