Job summary

Gallagher in Hamilton is seeking a Junior Test Analyst to grow within a product-focused engineering team. You will help test Gallagher's security software across manual testing while learning automation with guidance from experienced testers.

Youll design and execute test cases, document defects clearly, and collaborate with developers, testers and product teams to deliver quality outcomes in a global tech environment.

Qualifications

• Some exposure to software testing, quality assurance or software development.
• An interest in manual testing, test case design and defect reporting.
• A basic understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem solving.
• Clear communication skills and a willingness to learn from others.
• Exposure to SQL, databases, scripting or test automation would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Write and execute test cases based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Identify, investigate and document defects clearly so they can be reproduced and resolved.
• Support manual testing activities across new features, enhancements and fixes.
• Work closely with developers, testers and product teams to support quality outcomes.
• Build your understanding of testing processes, tools, automation and best practice.
• Contribute ideas that help improve how we test and deliver software.
