A leading provider of automated solutions in Auckland is looking for a Junior Mechanical Technician to manage operations and maintenance of baggage conveyor systems at Auckland Airport. This permanent role supports a stable team environment and requires relevant industrial experience. Post description: Do you want to start a new adventure with Alstef Group? We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Technician to work in our team at Auckland Airport who will manage the operations and maintenance of the baggage conveyor systems.

Your Mission

• Operating the baggage system as designed and in accordance with the Service Level agreements
• Completing assigned tasks competently and efficiently
• Maintaining records fully and accurately
• Performing maintenance tasks both preventative and reactive

You will need to be comfortable doing shift work as this role works on a rotating schedule. Shifts run from 2am - 2pm and 2pm - 2am.

Requirements

• Relevant work experience to be able to work in an industrial environment
• You must have a full drivers license in order to be applicable for this role and be able to operate the machinery required
• Elevated work platform license - preferred
• Experience with maintenance of equipment
• Experience with welding - preferred
• Experience with the mechanical aspects of a conveyor system or other similar equipment desired
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Demonstrate work ethic and time management skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Excellent team player
