Job summary

ALSTEF Group is seeking a Junior Mechanical Technician to join our team at Auckland Airport. You will manage operations and maintenance of the baggage conveyor systems, ensuring performance aligned with service level agreements.

Key duties include operating the baggage system, completing tasks efficiently, and keeping accurate records, with both preventative and reactive maintenance responsibilities. Shift work is required on a 24/7 roster.

Qualifications

• Relevant Mechanical Trade qualification is required.
• Full driver’s license is required to operate the machinery.
• Elevated work platform license is preferred.
• Experience with maintenance of equipment is required.
• Experience with welding is preferred.
• Experience with conveyor systems or similar equipment is desirable.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Demonstrate strong work ethic and time management.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent team player.
• Shift work is required with a 24/7 roster (02:00–14:00 / 14:00–02:00).
