Alstef Group is seeking a Junior Mechanical Technician to join our team at Auckland Airport. You will help manage operations and maintenance of baggage conveyor systems, ensuring reliability and safety.

The role requires a mechanical trade qualification, a full driver's license, and willingness to work a 24/7 roster (02:00–14:00 / 14:00–02:00). Experience with conveyors, welding, and elevated work platforms is preferred.

Qualifications

• Relevant Mechanical Trade qualification.
• Full drivers license required to operate machinery.
• Elevated work platform license preferred.
• Experience with maintenance of equipment.
• Experience with welding preferred.
• Experience with conveyor systems or similar equipment desired.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
• Demonstrate work ethic and time management.
• Good oral and written communication and teamwork.

• Operate the baggage system as designed and per SLAs.
• Complete assigned tasks competently and efficiently.
• Maintain records fully and accurately.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance tasks.
