Halter in Auckland is seeking a Junior Fleet Operations Engineer to join the Fleet Operations team. You will monitor fleet performance, triage issues, and build internal tooling to scale operations.

This role sits at the intersection of hardware operations and engineering, requiring a CS/Software background, strong problem-solving, and a builder mindset. Based at our Auckland HQ with full-time hours and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down ambiguous problems.
• Comfort with dashboards, tools, workflows, logs, and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor fleet performance metrics and proactively identify issues.
• Triage and respond to technical support tickets related to collar and tower performance.
• Design and build internal tooling, dashboards, and automations to scale operations.
• Collaborate with Product, Deployment, and Engineering to improve incident resolution.
