Job summary

Fulton Hogan Ltd is seeking a Junior Environmental Advisor to join our Central Otago HSQES team. The role offers hands-on field experience about environmental management in infrastructure projects and opportunities for career growth in a supportive Central Otago community.

You will spend approximately 3 days per week on site, collaborating with operational teams to meet environmental standards and improve our practices, while gaining practical field experience and understanding of NZ regulations.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Resource Management Planning or Environmental Management.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Practical, organised and detail-focused approach.
• Current NZ driver licence and willingness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Support the region to implement environmental systems, processes and sustainability commitments.
• Carry out site visits, environmental assessments and audits; identify risks and practical ways to reduce environmental impact.
• Prepare and monitor environmental management plans in line with regulations and company standards.
• Maintain consent, monitoring and compliance records through the CS-VUE consent compliance database.
• Work with operational teams to support compliance, contribute to investigations, and provide environmental input into tenders, tailgates and communications.
