Job summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to support our operational teams across Central Otago. This predominantly site-based role involves four days per week of site visits throughout the Central Otago region, collaborating with crews and leaders to lift safety standards and ensure work is done safely, on time and to a high quality.

You'll bring at least 2 years in health and safety, a people-first attitude, and a formal safety qualification (or be working towards one).

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in a health and safety role, ideally in civil contracting or an industrial environment.
• A people-first, engaging, practical and down-to-earth attitude.
• A formal health and safety qualification or actively working towards one.
• Experience with auditing, incident investigation and building practical safety improvements.
• Strong communication skills and solid computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Champion a strong, practical safety culture across crews and worksites.
• Provide day-to-day health and safety support, advice and guidance to operational teams and managers.
• Assist with inspections, incident reporting, investigations, audits and critical risk conversations.
• Help identify risks, improve systems and processes, and support training and on-the-job learning.
• Work alongside teams to make sure work is delivered safely, to spec, on time and with quality front of mind.

We're looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to support our operational teams across Central Otago. This is a predominantly site-based role, with approximately 4 days per week dedicated to site visits across the Central Otago region.
