Job summary

Stone Oven in Devonport, Auckland is seeking a capable, enthusiastic chef to join our daytime café kitchen on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for a junior chef ready to step up or an early-career Chef de Partie seeking more responsibility in a busy café environment.

You'll work Mondays and Tuesdays starting 6:30am, with potential for extra shifts during the summer. Our Head Chef is hands-on, and you'll help run the kitchen when needed, keeping service smooth and the brunch and baking

Stone Oven is looking for a capable, enthusiastic chef to join our kitchen team part-time. We're a busy daytime café in the heart of Devonport, serving quality brunch, cabinet food and baking in a fast-paced but friendly environment. This role is ideal for a junior chef ready to step up, or an early-career Chef de Partie looking for more responsibility and experience across a varied café kitchen.

Initially, you'll work Mondays and Tuesdays with 6:30am starts, finishing around 3–4pm, with potential for additional shifts over the summer. Our Head Chef is hands-on, but there will be times when you'll need to confidently hold down the kitchen and keep service running smoothly when they're briefly away from the pass. This isn't a senior role, but we're looking for someone who is reliable, switched on and keen to grow into that level of responsibility.
