Job summary

Stone Oven in Devonport, Auckland is seeking a capable, enthusiastic chef to join our daytime café kitchen on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for a junior chef ready to step up or an early-career Chef de Partie seeking more responsibility in a busy café environment.

You'll work Mondays and Tuesdays starting 6:30am, with potential for extra shifts during the summer. Our Head Chef is hands-on, and you'll help run the kitchen when needed, keeping service smooth and the brunch and baking

Qualifications

• Have some professional kitchen experience.
• Be confident cooking independently when needed.
• Enjoy both cooking and baking.
• Work well as part of a small team.
• Take pride in cleanliness and organisation.
• Be reliable, punctual and happy with early starts.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking our brunch menu
• Baking and preparing cabinet food
• General prep and keeping your section organised
• Cleaning and maintaining a clean, well-run kitchen
• Occasionally helping run food during busy periods
• Working closely alongside our Head Chef and the wider café team
