Job summary

Auckland Airport is seeking an experienced Underground Services Maintenance Tradesperson to join our Engineering Services team. This full-time permanent role provides planned and reactive maintenance on the Three waters network across the Airport precinct, with hours from 7:30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and an on-call roster.

The role is hands-on and outdoors, requiring a practical approach to work around active services, with emphasis on safety and teamwork within AKL values.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience in underground services draining related trade roles.
• Demonstrates strong technical understanding of reading and interpreting service drawings, and accurately identifying and locating underground services on-site.
• Good verbal communication and a positive can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting and clearing stormwater and wastewater lines.
• Flushing and jetting pipes to prevent or remove blockages.
• Repairing manhole haunching’s and replacing damaged lids.
• Digging to access underground infrastructure.
• Performing drainage maintenance to keep systems working efficiently.
