Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers is seeking an IT Support Specialist to coordinate IT service delivery and manage assets across the business from our Grey Lynn, Auckland office. This hands-on role provides first-line support, handles IT requests and staff onboarding/offboarding, and partners with teams to improve systems.
The ideal candidate brings 1–3 years in IT support, a related degree or experience, and familiarity with Azure AD, Google Workspace and Jira.
As our IT Support Specialist, you will coordinate IT service delivery and manage company-wide IT assets, including the setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of devices, systems and tools. This is a hands-on role where you will provide practical first-line support to internal teams, help manage IT requests and incidents, and support the smooth onboarding and offboarding of staff.
You will contribute to maintaining strong information security practices across the business. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, communicating clearly, and making technology easier for colleagues, client businesses and end users.
Coordinate and manage IT requests, incidents, problems and changes.
Provide first-line support for IT equipment, digital systems and related tools.
Troubleshoot practical technology issues and escalates where required.
Manage IT aspects of staff onboarding and offboarding, including equipment, access and system readiness.
Support teams with ongoing technology improvements.
Coordinate and communicate training on new system enhancements and IT or information security-related company policies.
Contribute to maintaining modern information security management practices.
Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and support strong technology awareness across the business.
Work confidently across platforms and systems such as Linux, Mac, WordPress, Jira and Office 365.
Provide remote IT support for the Australian business and respond to ad-hoc requirements.
1–3 years’ experience in an application support, IT support or similar role within a small to medium sized business.
A degree or equivalent study in an IT-related discipline, or relevant practical experience.
Experience with IT service management processes.
An understanding of Azure Active Directory, Google Workspace and Jira experience would be desirable.
Confidence supporting users across digital systems, devices and business tools.
The ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
A self-starting organised and solutions-focused approach.
The ability to manage deadlines and work well both autonomously and as part of a team.
A full-time, hybrid role based at our Grey Lynn, Auckland office.
