Job summary

Sunstone Talent is seeking a Senior IT Support Engineer to join a collaborative team delivering enterprise IT support and infrastructure projects across Christchurch and Australia offices. The role involves leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and improving end-user experiences with Microsoft 365, Windows endpoints, and AV systems.

The successful candidate will have a degree or IT qualification, 6+ years in IT support, strong communication skills, and experience with ITSM

Qualifications

• Degree or tertiary qualification, IT certification, Microsoft certification or equivalent commercial experience.
• At least 6 years' commercial experience in IT Support, Desktop Engineering & End User Computing.
• Solid experience supporting Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, laptops, desktops, printers and peripherals.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow or another ITSM ticketing platform.
• Experience supporting audio visual (AV) conferencing solutions including meeting room technology.

Responsibilities

• Deliver enterprise IT support and infrastructure projects across Christchurch & Australia offices.
• Lead technical projects and mentor junior support engineers.

A stable, growing company is looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer to join a supportive team delivering enterprise IT support and infrastructure projects across their Christchurch & Australia offices

Love solving complex IT issues while leading technical projects and improve the end-user experience?

What you'll bring:

• Degree or Tertiary qualification, IT certification, Microsoft certification or equivalent commercial experience
• At least 6 years' commercial experience in IT Support, Desktop Engineering & End User Computing
• Solid experience supporting Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, laptops, desktops, printers and peripherals
• Knowledge of ServiceNow or another ITSM ticketing platform
• Ideally someone with excellent communication skills, who enjoys leading projects and has an excellent customer / user focus
• Experience supporting audio visual (AV) conferencing solutions including meeting room technology
• Any experience of Crestron, Qsc or Biamp? A bonus or happy to learn
• Experience with ITIL processes and best practice support methodologies
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, networking and complex end-user issues
• Workflow or process automation experience would be an advantage
• Comfortable mentoring junior support engineers and leading regional IT projects
• Bonus if you've worked with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, JAMF or other MDM technologies
• Enjoy using modern AI tools to improve productivity and service delivery
