Job summary

Fullers Group Ltd in Auckland seeks an IT Support Engineer to join a busy IT team. You will provide first and second‑level technical support across offices, vessels, and remote sites, reporting to the IT Support Manager, with a hands‑on role that includes physical security management and cyber security duties.

The position operates on a 40‑hour rotating roster, includes weekends and public holidays, and may require after‑hours support.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, solutions-focused with a proactive attitude.

• Experience in Level 1 & 2 support across multi-site environments.
• Working knowledge of Windows OS, networking, Office 365, and IT security practices.
• Exposure to cyber and/or physical security systems.
• Familiarity with retail or hospitality IT setups, including POS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-level IT support across offices, vessels, and remote sites.

• Cyber security tasks: monitor, resolve and patch incidents, breaches and vulnerabilities.
• Support after-hours needs as required and participate in rotating roster.

About the role

We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join our team. You’ll be part of an organisation that connects people with places, linking communities, supporting tourism, and enabling everyday travel across the Hauraki Gulf.

Working alongside two experienced IT Support Engineers and reporting to the IT Support Manager, you’ll provide first and second-level technical support across our offices, vessels, and remote sites. Based in the Ferry Building, this is a hands-on role that offers real variety and responsibility within a high-performing IT team.

This role is tasked with managing, maintaining and documenting all physical security for Fullers including locks, security cameras and safes. Additionally, there is a cyber security component to the role, monitoring, resolving and patching for incidents, breaches, and vulnerabilities.

We operate 7 days per week 365 days of the year hence this is a rostered role which will see you work over weekends and public holidays. Due to the nature of our operations the IT team may need to provide after-hours support which includes answering phone calls, providing remote support, and escalating when necessary.

Your background, skills and experience:

• A hands-on, solutions-focused approach with a proactive attitude

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
• Willingness to work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Flexibility to provide after-hours support when needed
• Previous experience in Level 1 & 2 support across a multi-site or complex environment
• Working knowledge of Windows OS, networking, Office 365, and IT security practices
• Exposure to cyber and/or physical security systems
• Familiarity with retail or hospitality IT setups, including POS systems, is a plus
