Job summary

CARTERS Queenstown is looking for a motivated individual to join our team in a hands-on inwards goods role with strong customer service. You will be the first checkpoint for every delivery, checking, receiving and recording all inwards goods movements, and ensuring best practice processes.

This permanent full-time role offers stability, competitive compensation and opportunities to grow in a busy warehouse environment with supportive team members.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritise and stay organised, especially during busy periods.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Previous experience in a trade, building supplies, or warehouse environment is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Checking off and receipting materials accurately
• Recording all inwards goods movements and ensuring information is entered correctly
• Thoroughly checking deliveries and following best-practice processes
• Ensuring goods are barcoded correctly and put away promptly
• Identifying and tracking back orders, and keeping the team informed
• Assisting the yard team with day-to-day operations
• Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Re-stocking racks and keeping product displays tidy and well presented
• Helping load trucks and prepare orders for dispatch
