Job summary

Carters is seeking a Customer Services Representative at our St Lukes branch in Auckland to deliver outstanding service to trade and retail customers. You will support branch operations, from serving customers on the floor to loading trucks, stock control, and yard maintenance.

The role requires a valid NZ Driver's Licence, OSH forklift licence with competency, strong people skills, health and safety awareness, and the ability to lift heavy items and use computer systems.

Qualifications

• Valid FULL New Zealand Driver's Licence.
• Current OSH-certified Forklift Licence (F Endorsed) with forklift competency.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building customer relationships.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation in the industry.
• Physically fit for occasional heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Proficiency with computer systems.
• Building industry knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and build strong customer relationships.
• Fill customer orders accurately and efficiently, and load orders onto trucks.
• Ensure loads comply with legal and safety requirements before deliveries.
• Unload supplier deliveries and check goods against documentation.
• Participate in cycle counts and stocktakes.
• Keep the panels, bulk store, and yard tidy and well presented.
• Load and unload building materials using forklift or manual handling.
• Carry out customer deliveries efficiently and in line with health and safety regulations.

Our St Lukes branch is looking for a Customer Services Representative to join our team and deliver great service to our trade and retail customers every day.

About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a key role in achieving branch sales targets and building lasting customer loyalty through quality service. This role will also allow you to work across all areas of branch operations, from serving customers on the floor to loading trucks, managing stock, and keeping the yard running safely and efficiently.

• Providing excellent customer service and building strong customer relationships
• Filling customer orders accurately and efficiently, and loading correct orders onto trucks
• Ensuring loads comply with legal and safety requirements before deliveries go out
• Unloading supplier deliveries and checking goods against documentation
• Participating in cycle counts and stocktakes
• Keeping the panels / bulk store, and yard clean, tidy, and well presented
• Load and unload building materials either with a forklift or manual handling
• Carryout customer deliveries efficiently and on time and in accordance with health and safety regulations

About You

You will be the perfect fit for this role if you are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and have the following skills and qualities:

• Valid FULL New Zealand Driver's Licence
• Current Forklift Licence (OSH certified, F Endorsed) and demonstrated forklift competency
