Job summary

Asahi Beverages New Zealand invites a commercially minded analyst to own end-to-end inventory health across finished goods, raw materials and packaging. Based in Parnell, you will create a clear view of slow-moving, ageing, and obsolete stock and partner across Sales, Finance and Supply Chain to reduce exposure.

You will drive governance, reporting and action plans to see risk early, resolve it quickly and prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience across FMCG, inventory, planning, commercial finance or related fields.
• Strong inventory management, demand and supply planning, or SKU lifecycle knowledge.
• Advanced Excel, analytical capability and experience improving reports or dashboards.

Join Asahi Beverages New Zealand in a newly created role with end-to-end ownership of inventory health. Based in Parnell, you will create clear visibility of slow-moving, excess, ageing, and obsolete inventory, working cross-functionally to action what is needed to reduce exposure and protect value.

Key responsibilities

You will establish the governance, reporting and practical action plans that help the business see inventory risk early, resolve it quickly and prevent recurrence.

The role will see you:

• Own inventory health across finished goods, raw materials and packaging.
• Create a refreshable single view of inventory risk, ageing and financial exposure.
• Lead action plans for mitigation, clearance, repurposing, disposal or write-off.
• Partner across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Category and Supply Chain.
• Drive root-cause analysis, process improvement and stronger lifecycle governance.

About You

You are a commercially minded, analytical problem solver who can turn complex data into clear decisions and influence action without direct authority. You will be comfortable creating structure in a new, self-directed role and balancing immediate priorities with ongoing improvement. We’re looking for:

• 5+ years’ experience across FMCG, inventory, planning, commercial finance or related fields.
• Strong inventory management, demand and supply planning, or SKU lifecycle knowledge.
• Advanced Excel, analytical capability and experience improving reports or dashboards.
• Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder engagement and cross-functional influence.
• Tertiary qualification in supply chain, business, commerce, finance or similar preferred.
