Job summary

Asahi Beverages NZ is seeking a Merchandiser to support our Traditional Liquor Channel across South Auckland.

You'll work closely with our Area Sales Managers to ensure shelves are well stocked, products are rotated, displays are eye‑catching, and promotional point‑of‑sale is executed to the highest standard across banner group stores within the traditional channel whilst also assisting within the Grocery channel when required.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Attention to stock levels and store presentation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stock is rotated, faced, pulled forward and shelf-ready.
• Build branded displays and execute promotional plans in store.
• Support equipment presentation, including fridges and point-of-sale.
• Assist with warehouse or delivery overflow as needed.
• Partner with Area Sales Managers to execute brand activations.
• Represent Asahi brands with pride within the traditional liquor channel.
• Conduct product tastings within the Traditional and Grocery channels.

This is a physically active role ideal for someone looking to break into the FMCG industry – with a clear pathway into sales. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring our RTD, beer, wine, and spirits brands are always looking their best in store.

About You

• Must reside in South Auckland or East Auckland (within the defined sales territory)
• Full driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle – paid mileage included
• Physically fit and capable of lifting stock and setting up displays
• Customer service or retail experience is highly desirable
• Aspiring to grow into a future sales career with strong interpersonal skills
• Reliable, hands‑on, and takes pride in store presentation
• A bit of creative flair doesn’t hurt – you’ll be building standout displays
