Vulcan, Inc. in Nelson (Aluminium) seeks an Internal Sales Representative to support sales from a busy warehouse environment.

Based in Nelson, this full-time role covers inbound enquiries, quotes, order processing, stock checks, and dispatch, with hours Monday to Friday 8am–4:30pm and no weekend work. You will build strong customer relationships through responsive internal sales support, maintain inventory records, handle stock control, and work as part of a team in a growing metals business

Qualifications

• This role requires internal sales or customer service experience.
• Experience in warehousing, dispatch, or inventory control is an advantage.
• A forklift licence is an advantage.
• Ability to use ERP systems, Outlook and Excel.
• Physically able to perform manual handling and warehouse tasks.
• Right to work in New Zealand and pass pre-employment checks.

Description

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Nelson, mostly internal sales support with hands‑on warehouse duties. If you enjoy variety, take pride in accuracy, and thrive in a team environment, this role is for you. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm. No weekends.

What You Will Do

• Handle inbound customer enquiries by phone, email, and in person


• Prepare quotes, process sales orders, and confirm stock availability


• Build strong customer relationships through responsive internal sales support


• Respond to internal enquiries regarding stock availability and pricing (email and phone)


• Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders accurately


• Receipt and process incoming stock


• Maintain accurate inventory records, stocktakes, and cycle counts

What You Will Bring

• Internal sales or customer service experience


• Warehousing, dispatch, or inventory control experience (an advantage)


• Fork hoist licence (an advantage)


• Intermediate computer literacy (ERP systems, Outlook, Excel)


• Physically fit to complete manual handling and warehouse tasks


• A valid work visa or the right to work in New Zealand


• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
