KingsWay School in Auckland, New Zealand is seeking an experienced educator to step into the permanent leadership role of Assistant Head of Learning Area in Year One. This is a unique opportunity to influence teaching practice and student outcomes within a Christian learning community.

We have an exciting opportunity for an existing member of our Primary teaching team to take on the permanent leadership role of Assistant Head of Learning Area in Year One.

About the Role

Key responsibilities of this role include assisting the Head of Learning Area with the following:

• Pedagogical and teacher practice oversight (assessment, planning, student data, etc.)
• Ensure ongoing collaboration across teams
• Pastoral care for staff and students in team, incl. L2 discipline
• Grow leadership capability within the team
• Embed the KingsWay Collaboration Framework
• Create an environment where student and staff strengths can flourish
• Champion the language, vision, and values of KingsWay School

The successful applicant will:

The role carries a MMA and for terms 2-4, 160 minutes release per fortnight.
