Job summary

KingsWay School in Auckland is seeking a full-time Mathematics and Statistics teacher for Years 7–13, based in the senior school, starting 28 January 2027. The role requires Certificated teaching status and a strong commitment to our Christian community.

Responsibilities include teaching Years 10–13 Mathematics, contributing to departmental processes, and building strong partnerships with parents and staff while upholding the school’s special Christian character.

Qualifications

• Certificated teacher qualified to teach Mathematics in New Zealand (NZ).
• Experience teaching Years 10–13 and the NZ NCEA Mathematics curriculum.
• Ability to teach calculus or statistics through to Year 13 is advantageous.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a full-time KingsWay School Teacher (Years 7-13) with strengths in mathematics based primarily in our senior school starting 28 January 2027.

KingsWay is a high achieving, growing, state integrated Christian school catering for Year 1-13 students, with a current roll of over 2000 students. About the role

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Effectively engaging with and teaching mathematics to students in Years 10-13
• Contributing to the departments academic process and achievement
• Relating well and being culturally responsive to a diverse range of students and staff

The successful applicant will:

• Connect well with, and thrive on imparting their knowledge to Year 10-13 students
• Have experience with the NCEA Mathematics curriculum
• Ability to teach calculus or statistics through to Year 13 advantageous
• Enjoy effectively partnering with parents
• Enjoy working collaboratively
• Have a desire to grow their professional capacity
