Job summary

Chemist Warehouse NZ is seeking a passionate Full-Time New Zealand Intern Pharmacist (35 to 40 hours per week) with a current NZ Intern APC. You will join our Albany team to deliver high quality pharmacy services, share expertise, and grow professionally.

The role offers training, a supportive environment, and opportunities to expand skills while ensuring industry standards and regulatory compliance are met.

Qualifications

• Pre-registrant year to be undertaken immediately.
• Ability to work well in a team and autonomously.
• Dedicated work ethic.
• Excellent customer service.
• Eye for detail and accuracy.
• Retail Pharmacy experience is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow with the business.
• Knowledge of Pharmacy products.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with scripts in/and dispensing
• General dispensary administration
• Order, receive, unpack, and manage dispensary stock, including monitoring stock levels and expiry dates.
• Provide professional advice to patients and customers on medicines, minor ailments, and health-related enquiries within scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate prescription records and patient information while ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements.
• Counting or pouring medicines under Pharmacist supervision
• Perform the necessary calculations for checking by the Pharmacist
