Job summary

EROAD is hiring an Intermediate Test Automation QA Engineer to own quality across connected devices, from hardware to cloud services. You will test telematics units, cameras and adapters with firmware and hardware integrations, building automated tests for multiple coverage areas and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.

Work in Linux environments and collaborate within an agile team to diagnose defects across the stack.

Qualifications

• Hands-on depth in embedded testing and automation
• Proven test automation in Java (Kotlin ok)
• Embedded systems and hardware-software integration testing
• Serial comms: UART, SPI, I2C, RS-232/485, USB, CAN
• Linux/Ubuntu for device testing
• BDD-based automation with Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG
• CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, GitHub Actions
• Python and Bash scripting for automation
• Cloud familiarity: Azure and/or AWS
• AI-assisted testing tooling exposure
• Ability to read hardware schematics; observability like Datadog/Grafana bonus

Responsibilities

• Own quality across EROAD's connected devices, from hardware to cloud services
• Test physical devices such as telematics units, cameras and adapters with firmware and hardware integrations
• Build and maintain automated tests across component, integration, contract, performance and end-to-end
• Write supporting automation scripts to extend and strengthen test tooling
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines so quality gates run with every build
• Work hands-on in Linux environments to test and troubleshoot connected devices
• Validate end-to-end workflows across hardware, mobile apps and cloud-integrated services
• Investigate and diagnose defects across hardware-software stack
• Collaborate within a cross-functional agile team, reporting to the Chapter Lead
