Job summary

Digiscale is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Napier, NZ to design and develop mechanical components and systems for our products. You will run feasibility studies, develop prototypes, and collaborate with electrical and software teams to ensure integrated solutions.

You will perform tests and simulations to validate concepts and produce detailed manufacturing drawings, while identifying cost-saving opportunities and staying current with industry advancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Experience with FEA and other simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles and materials.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing mechanical components and systems for our products.
• Conducting feasibility studies and creating prototypes to test designs.
