Job summary

Waikato Milking Systems LTD in Hamilton designs and manufactures dairy technology. The New Product Development team collaborates with engineers across disciplines to create practical, reliable and manufacturable electromechanical solutions for dairy and industrial automation.

The ideal candidate holds a mechanical or mechatronics degree and 7+ years designing electromechanical products, with SolidWorks proficiency, GD&T knowledge, and a track record from concept to production.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related discipline.
• 7+ years' experience designing and developing electromechanical products.
• Proven experience using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
• Experience taking products from concept through to production.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• The ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
