Job summary

Beyond Recruitment in Queenstown seeks an Infrastructure Development Manager to lead a specialist team delivering growth-related infrastructure across the region. You will drive land use planning, delivery, and stakeholder engagement to meet project outcomes.

You will mentor staff, review designs, manage developer agreements, and ensure QA across projects, with NZ work rights and a degree in a related field.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Planning or related discipline.
  • 8+ years in infrastructure engineering, planning, or delivery.
  • 4+ years in a senior engineering or technical leadership role.
  • NZ open right to work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop an Infrastructure Development Team.
  • Oversee technical reviews and approvals of development engineering designs and plans.
  • Manage developer agreements and provide strategic advice on infrastructure delivery.
  • Ensure quality assurance and compliance across developer-delivered infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain and improve subdivision and land development standards and processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, consultants, and key stakeholders.
  • Manage infrastructure-related risks and ensure commercial and contractual outcomes.

About you:

You're an experienced professional who combines strong technical engineering expertise with leadership capability.

  • A degree in Engineering, Planning, or a related discipline
  • 8+ years experience in infrastructure engineering, planning, or delivery
  • 4+ years in a senior engineering or technical leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure planning, project delivery
  • Experience working with developers and Consultants
  • NZ open right to work
