Job summary

Assemble is seeking an experienced Project Manager in Auckland to lead end-to-end delivery of water infrastructure projects including wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, sewer networks, and stormwater systems.

You will drive performance across multidisciplinary teams with a hands-on leadership style and strong commercial awareness, delivering projects safely, on time, and to scope within a growing contractor environment.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years' experience delivering civil/water projects in New Zealand.
  • Strong leadership and team management.
  • Experience across 3 waters / water infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle delivery of civil infrastructure projects from tender through to completion.
  • Contribute to pricing, tendering, and work-winning activities.
  • Develop and drive project programmes, methodologies, and delivery strategies.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and commercial outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, resolving technical and commercial challenges.
  • Maintain high standards across health & safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
