Job summary

GPC Asia Pacific's Motion Fluid Power team in Christchurch is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive sales growth by applying technical expertise to identify, qualify, and close opportunities in the hydraulic hose space.

You will collaborate with Sales, Operations and Workshop teams, managing key accounts and supporting pre- and post-sales activities while building strong client relationships across New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Experience in selling industrial/hydraulic hose.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with commercial acumen and sound judgment.
• Proficient with MS Office, CRM systems and other relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Project manage key accounts ensuring successful delivery.
• Develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to grow the MFP business.
• Provide pre-sales technical support and post-sales follow-up.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends.
• Participate in trade shows and industry events to enhance company visibility.
• Handle product claims and assist with stock management and hose assembly activities as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company policies.
