Job summary

Motion Asia Pacific is seeking a field and technical sales professional to lead geared motors and gearbox overhaul/repair services in New Zealand. You will combine mechanical know‑how with commercial insight to deliver practical, cost‑effective solutions while helping the NZ team hit sales and gross profit targets.

The role is based in Mount Maunganui, with ongoing training, career development and a supportive, inclusive culture in a growing global company.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of geared motors and repair services.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated safety-first approach and ability to work autonomously or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide field and technical sales support for geared motors and repair services across markets.
• Deliver pre-sales guidance and post-sales follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Support sales teams in identifying new geared motor opportunities and engage engineers when required.
• Maintain CRM records and collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Workshop teams.
• Scope and coordinate gearmotor repair, replacement, and installation projects from quotation to completion.
• Assess site requirements and safety considerations to minimise risk.
• Create Bills of Materials and ensure traceability of projects.
• Inspect and advise on gearmotor failures, including warranty claims.
• Prepare detailed repair quotations covering parts, machining, and labour.
