About the Role

Our client, a well-established industrial group, is looking for a proactive and results-oriented Industrial Process Improvement Specialist to join their team on a contract basis. This role focuses on identifying and implementing enhancements to manufacturing and operational processes to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, expertise in process optimization methodologies, and the ability to drive change within diverse operational settings. This role will be predominantly remote, requiring strong self-management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing industrial processes across various functions to identify areas for improvement, including efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to develop and implement process optimization strategies.
• Conduct detailed process mapping, workflow analysis, and time-motion studies to pinpoint inefficiencies.
• Develop business cases for proposed process improvements, outlining expected benefits and implementation plans.
• Collaborate with on-site operational teams and stakeholders to implement changes and ensure successful adoption.
• Train and mentor relevant personnel on process improvement techniques and best practices.
• Monitor the impact of implemented changes, collect data, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to generate innovative solutions for process challenges.
• Document all process changes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices.
• Ensure that all implemented improvements align with company safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or industrial engineering roles.
• Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, with relevant certifications (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) being highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify root causes.
• Experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio) and data analysis software.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and change management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders remotely.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and deliver results within defined timelines.
• Experience working in various industrial sectors is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and self-discipline for effective remote work.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving and implementation.
