Placements24 is partnering with a leader in the specialty manufacturing sector to hire a Manufacturing Process Engineer for their Queenstown, Eastern Cape facility. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, quality, and safety while collaborating with production, quality control, and R&D teams.

You will apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement, develop SOPs, troubleshoot issues, and validate processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering.
• Proven experience with process design, optimization, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Design and implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams on new product introductions and process validation.
• Implement and utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality requirements.
• Conduct process capability studies and implement control plans.
• Train production personnel on new processes and equipment.

About the Role

Our client, a leader in the specialty manufacturing sector, is seeking a talented Manufacturing Process Engineer for their facility in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This critical role involves the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering background, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for driving continuous improvement. You will work closely with production teams, quality control, and R&D to troubleshoot issues, implement new technologies, and enhance overall operational performance.
