Laminex New Zealand is seeking a hands-on Industrial Electrician for our Hamilton site to maintain machinery and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations. The role emphasizes fault finding, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• NZ Registered Electrician with a current practising licence.
• 2-5+ years' proven experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated fault-diagnosis and downtime minimisation experience.
• Experience maintaining and repairing industrial machinery.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performing team.
• Proactive, hands-on approach and passion for keeping production running.
• Team-focused with a willingness to get stuck in.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and repairing faults on production machinery and plant equipment.
• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance to maximise uptime.
• Troubleshooting electrical and control system issues.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades.
• Assisting with maintenance projects and plant shutdown activities.
• Working closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure reliable operations.
