Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to work across varied industrial sites in South Auckland. You will diagnose faults, maintain complex electrical systems and keep plant and production equipment running efficiently.

Immediate start with a competitive pay rate and weekly pay. You will perform maintenance, fault diagnostics, and support upgrades, with exposure to PLCs, VSDs, and automation systems.

Qualifications

• NZ Registered Electrician with current practising licence.
• Proven industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability across plant and machinery.
• Experience with motor controls, PLCs, VSDs or automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and reactive electrical maintenance on industrial plant and equipment.
• Diagnose complex electrical faults and complete effective repairs.
• Respond to breakdowns and help restore plant operations efficiently.
• Service and troubleshoot motors, control panels and production systems.
• Assist with electrical upgrades, installations and commissioning.
• Work with PLCs, VSDs and motor control systems where required.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical information.

Job description

Industrial Electrician Tradestaff is looking for an experienced Industrial Electrician to work across a variety of industrial sites in South Auckland. If you’re confident diagnosing faults, maintaining complex electrical systems and keeping plant and production equipment operating efficiently, we want to hear from you.

Location: Varied sites across South Auckland
Start date: Immediate start
Pay rate: $45–$55 per hour + weekly pay

What You'll Be Doing

• Carry out preventative and reactive electrical maintenance on industrial plant and equipment
• Diagnose complex electrical faults and complete effective repairs

What We're Looking For

• NZ Registered Electrician with a current practising licence
• Proven industrial electrical maintenance and service experience
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability across plant and machinery
• Experience with motor controls, PLCs, VSDs or automation systems
• Confidence interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
• Full New Zealand driver’s licence
• Safety-focused, reliable and capable of working independently or within a team
