Job summary

Technical Recruitment Solutions Ltd. in New Plymouth is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a small, close-knit team. You'll focus on preventative maintenance, fault-finding, and upgrades across production machinery, with exposure to PLCs and industrial control systems.

Working hours are 7am–3pm, Monday to Friday, with an on-call roster and opportunities for overtime. The role offers a tailored salary, health benefits, and long-term stability within a global manufacturing

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Certificate and current practising licence.
• Experience as an Industrial Electrician in manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding and repair skills.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and industrial systems.
• Good computer skills with maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance on production machinery and plant equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults and respond to breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and control equipment.
• Support upgrades, new installations and decommissioning projects.
• Maintain maintenance records and time entries (SAP).
• Sourcing and ordering electrical parts and equipment.
• Ensure safety systems and guarding meet standards.
• Collaborate with mechanical fitters to improve reliability.
• Participate in on-call roster and attend call-outs.
