Enterprise Limited in Wellington is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician for a permanent day-shift role. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and improve a highly automated production facility, with autonomy and a focus on safety.

The ideal candidate holds an EWRB practising licence, an electrical trade qualification, NZ working rights, and at least 3 years in industrial/automation environments. PLC fault-finding, schematics reading, and fault diagnosis are key, with opportunities to lead

We're recruiting for an experienced Industrial Electrician to join a well-established Wellington manufacturing business with a household reputation across New Zealand.

About the role

You’ll play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving a highly automated production facility. This is a varied, hands‑on position where your technical expertise and fault‑finding ability will be highly valued.

Key responsibilities include:

• Electrical maintenance, repairs, and breakdown response across plant equipment
• PLC fault-finding and troubleshooting
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical and automation issues
• Preventative maintenance and reliability activities
• Continuous improvement projects
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
• Supporting plant reliability and minimising production downtime
• Working closely with production and maintenance teams

What we're looking for

• Current EWRB Practising Licence
• Electrical trade qualification
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an industrial, manufacturing, automation, or process environment
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Full New Zealand working rights (NZ Citizen, Resident, or unrestricted work visa)

Highly desirable

• Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, or continuous process industries
• PLC programming or modification experience
• Exposure to reliability engineering or root cause analysis
• Experience working with automated or high-speed production equipment
