Job summary

NZ Safety Blackwoods is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Inwards Supervisor at our Christchurch Distribution Centre to lead inbound stock reception, processing and storage while driving operational performance and safety.

You will manage a team, optimise daily inwards activities, and partner with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timely receipting of stock. This is a fast-paced role that values people development and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of warehouse leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse and distribution operations, especially inbound logistics.
• Experience leading teams and developing employee capability.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Forklift licence.
• Proactive, hands-on leadership style.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of warehouse team members.
• Manage daily inwards operations to ensure timely and accurate receipting of stock.
• Monitor workflow and prioritise inbound activities to meet business requirements.
• Investigate discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with internal stakeholders.
• Drive productivity, accuracy and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support inventory accuracy and stock integrity processes.
• Maintain a strong focus on health, safety and wellbeing.
• Assist with broader warehouse operations and provide leadership across the DC as required.
