Job summary

NZ Safety Blackwoods in Christchurch seeks a Warehouse Dispatch Supervisor to lead daily dispatch activities and drive performance in a fast-paced distribution centre.

You will coach a team, coordinate orders for on-time dispatch, and ensure safe, accurate picking and packing while collaborating with internal stakeholders for optimal customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse dispatch activities and support overall DC operations.
• Coach and develop a team of warehouse staff.
• Coordinate dispatch to meet service and delivery targets.
• Ensure orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately.
• Drive productivity and monitor KPIs via the WMS.
• Promote a safe and efficient working environment.

We're looking for an experienced Warehouse Dispatch Supervisor to join our Christchurch Distribution Centre and help lead the delivery of outstanding service to our customers across New Zealand.

This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for coordinating warehouse dispatch activities, driving team performance, and ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched safely, accurately, and on time.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Warehouse Dispatch Supervisor, you'll be responsible for leading daily warehouse dispatch activities and supporting the wider Distribution Centre operation.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of warehouse team members
• Coordinating daily dispatch operations to meet service and delivery targets
• Monitoring workflow and prioritising order fulfilment activities
• Ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately
• Driving productivity, operational performance and continuous improvement
• Monitoring warehouse KPIs and workflow through the Warehouse Management System
• Working closely with Customer Service and other internal stakeholders to support customer outcomes
• Promoting and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

• 3+ Years of previous warehouse leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong understanding of warehouse dispatch and distribution operations
• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment
• Well-developed planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capability
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Forklift licence
• A hands‑on approach and ability to lead from the front
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
